1. When l first saw Sue H I was suffering from a lung weakness, too much mucus, that made me lose my voice every evening.  l was soon helped.

2. This gave me extreme tiredness which Sue H helped with arsenicum album.  This still aids me on tough days.

3. 2 areas of stenosis in spine make walking unbalanced.  Rhus toxicodendron helps counteract this daily.

4.  Pain in spine is relieved by Sue's research.

5. My present feverish cold is slightly relieved by Phosphorus.

6. Painful chilblains have been cured by Nux Vomica.

And all this - far better than NHS - has been given by Sue H working voluntary once a month at Kath Locke centre.

I have a very complicated endocrine condition, Cushings syndrome, Graves Disease, aldosteronism and now pancreatic deficiency. The Cushings and aldosteronism began to really develop when I was about 23. It was diagnosed at 49 when I was at my last gasp and was given a bilateral adrenalectomy in 1980. That operation was not 100% successful and so I have had a life time of lurching from one medical catastrophe to another ever since.

 

It has been the “alternative” sector [that has helped] and I say that term seriously because orthodox medicine, ie, the pharmaceutical industry, NHS, up tight GPs, consultants, idiots pontificating on radio, TV and in the Newspapers will not accept the evidence of their own eyes and so insist on remaining negative, ignorant, arrogant and unaccepting of the most effective methods of “complementary medicine”.

 

I have used dietary information and food supplements by Biocare and others to offset the side effects of NHS drugs and their damage, massage to maintain my mobility and as a diuretic, naturopathy to help me with my digestive system.

 

I have also used homeopathy to cure my Graves disease of the last episodes of 2006 and 2007 (at a cost of £75). You want to check my blood test results?

 

The most recent episode of Graves Disease, the 4th made me extremely ill. I lost 2 ½ stone in weight and had a lot of digestive problems. Carbimazole nearly killed me and radioactive treatment did not appeal. I used a mixture of homeopathy, naturopathy and massage and am now at the age of 77 probably fitter than I have ever been in all my life.

 

There is one therapy that I have not mentioned and this in my case has been the most important of all as a chronically sick and disabled woman and that is emotional therapy. My first experience with that healing power was hypno-psychotherapy in Ottary St May, Devon in the 90’s. My second and and ongoing when required is Journey work.

 

Dealing with hurt, anger, fear guilt with those 2 methods has given me a quality of life that no conventional medical or psychiatric approach ever achieved.
