Homeopathy: Medicine for the 21st Century

Environment

Homeopathy is a sustainable form of medicine with a minimal negative impact on the environment in terms of pollution, carbon emissions and energy use. For example:

Potentised remedies need very small amounts of material for their initial production, so they have a minimal impact on global ecology.

While homeopathic pharmacists need plants and animals for making some remedies, these need to be as unpolluted as possible, so they have a vested interest in reducing pollution.

A huge number of doses of a remedy can be produced from the initial material and therefore homeopathy is both a cheap and efficient user of resources.

Potentised remedies have a very long shelf-life in conditions requiring no specialist equipment, again making them a cheap and efficient use of resources.

Potentised remedies cannot be stored in plastic containers, but have to use glass containers, which can be recycled.

A very low level of technology is required to produce remedies, so homeopathy has a small carbon footprint.

Production of potentised  remedies produces almost exclusively biodegradable waste in the form of alcohol and organic matter, so it causes minimal levels of pollution.

Because potentised remedies can be de-activated by heat and sunlight, homeopathy creates no risks to the environment.

H:MC21 is a charity established to counter the unfounded propaganda against homeopathy by informing the public of the facts about homeopathy and its historical and scientific relationship to orthodox medicine.

It will do this through research, publication and campaigning.
